Personal Data you disclose to us

While using our Services, we may ask you to voluntarily provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and our Services, ****the choices you make, and the products and features you use.

Personal Information Provided by You. We collect full name; email address; image URL; contact preferences; and other similar information when you sign in with Google or update your information in your account settings.

Google Login Calendar Data.

When connecting a Google Calendar account to Buzz, we request read access to your calendar. Read access is needed to display your calendar events and make suggestions based on emails of attendees of the events. The event data are not stored in the database but cached in the server. This data is refreshed every two minutes.

Buzz never stores nor sees your Google password.

Buzz is verified by Google to utilize OAuth API verification and does not access any user data categorized as "restricted." Buzz's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information automatically collected

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our Website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Website and other technical information.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

What do we use your data for?

We use the information we collect or receive to:

• Provide the Services. This means using your Personal Information in order to provide the Services’ functionality to you, such as facilitation account creation and arranging access to an account, responding to your inquiries, and allowing you to utilize our various Service features, such as notifying you when you have been invited to join a team in Buzz.  We engage in these activities to manage our contractual relationship with you and/or to comply with a legal obligation.
• Enable you to use certain features.  We may automatically process your Personal Information, in reliance of our legitimate interest, in order to enable you to use certain features of our Services, for example, to view your schedule, join meetings from buzz, start video calls with your teammates, join a team or “follow” a specific Buzz user.
• Communicate with you. We may need to communicate with you about your account and provide you with customer support to perform our contract with you for the use of the Service or where we have not entered into a contract with you, in reliance on our legitimate interests in administering and supporting our Services. For example, if you use our App, we may ask you if you want to receive notifications about activity in your account. If you have opted in on these notifications and no longer want to receive them, you may turn them off from your account settings. We may also send you system alert messages in reliance on our legitimate interests in administering the Services and providing certain features. For example, we may inform you about temporary or permanent changes to our Service, such as planned outages, security or compliance notifications, information about new features, version updates, releases, abuse warnings, and changes to this Privacy Policy.
• Support and improve the Service. Your Personal Information may be used to provide, support and improve the Services in order to perform our contract with you for the use of the Service or where we have not entered into a contract with you, in reliance on our legitimate interests in administering and improving the Service and providing certain features. For example, this may include sharing your information with third parties in order to provide and support our Service or to make certain features of the Service available to you. When we share your Personal Information with third parties, we take steps to protect your information in a manner that is consistent with our obligations under applicable privacy laws.
• Purchase and payment. Your Personal Information may be used to bill and collect money owed to us by you to perform our contract with you for the use of the Services or where we have not entered into a contract with you, in accordance with our legitimate interests to operate and administer our Service. For example, we use analytics data to enable product recommendation and customize onboarding for our Users.

We will not send you unsolicited or third-party marketing.

We do not sell Personal Information and we do not share Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How do we handle your Google Login?

Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your Google account details. When you choose to do this, we will receive certain Personal Information about you from Google. This information includes your name, email address, account image, calendar event data and emails of the attendees of the events.

How long do we keep your information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, it will be deleted or anonymized as soon as possible and in accordance with applicable law.

How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. Such measures include access limitations for our personnel and service providers.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, the transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. you should only access the Services within a secure environment.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

You can manage your individual account and profile settings through your Buzz account, including contact information and communication preferences, or you can contact us directly by emailing us at privacy@joinbuzz.com. To delete your account contact us directly by emailing us at privacy@joinbuzz.com. Buzz takes reasonable steps to ensure that the data we collect is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete and up to date.

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection law. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond efficiently to your request.

Do we make updates to this policy?

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we may provide prior notice to you for example by email or a pop-up. You can always delete your account and stop using our Services if you do not accept the change.
